Lead and Zinc Smelting Wastewater Treatment and Reclamation by Coagulation-Flocculation-Sedimentation, Ultrafiltration and Reverse Osmosis Technique

The typical smelting wastewater is with characteristics of high concentration TDS, conductivity, heavy metal ions, and low COD. ultrafiltration (UF) reverse osmosis (RO) an attractive technology to reclaim reuse this kind wastewater. In work, Coagulation-flocculation-sedimentation (CFS) multi-media filter (MMF) was used as the pretreatment processes. UF, RO (CRO) processes applied advanced treatment To enlarge recovery CRO units, influences increasing feed temperature by waste heat from plant pressure change operating frequency pumps were investigated. optimize operation parameters units obtained. understand CIP cycle time membrane in a long term operation, trans-membrane (TMP) permeate flux difference investigate. Good system stability, after qualified treated water obtained recommend parameters. results work can benefit designing reclaiming UF-RO-CRO approach within Lead Zinc industrial application.
